Sure, I understand. You are young you have the whole world open to you. You can be anything that you choose if you apply yourself and try hard to work toward that goal. But being a Vampire is not what it seems like. It’s a life full of good, and amazing things. We are as human as you are.. It’s not what you are that counts, But how you choose to be. Do you want a life full of interesting things? Do you want to have power and influence over others? To be charming and desirable? You might find yourself agreeing.

Let me briefly describe my feelings for this writer.

She's the worst thing that's ever happened to this planet. We've always lived in a world where many teenage women have acted like they've had their personalities surgically taken out of them, where guys have brought them down and broken their hearts to where too many of them end up as having absolutely no dignity, being what other people want them to be, not what they want to be, wanting dangerous guys, and some even turning out to be whores that sale their bodies like crappy clocks at a garage sale, and they just don't care. We all know this. Women are not being treated equally in this world, and some of them are trully amazing people, but there would be more if everyone would work together and be more respectful to women and how they feel. I love women. Seeing a woman happy or seeing them smile is better than eating two cheeseburgers at McDonalds. Sex and whether or not I get a girlfriend doesn't matter to me as much as women being happy. So it hurts me when I see how women are sometimes being treated.

So what does Stephenie Meyer do? Make things worst. A lot worst. She writes a four-book series that I don't think could possibly be more shallow, sexist to both guys and girls, and lacking anything that's remotely interesting to create nothing but a plot-less sex series that doesn't really have any meaning other than "All women are damsels in distresses and can't be allowed to make any choices for themselves, and it's ok to be a 100-year-old pedophile as long as you look 17." It's insulting to women and their intelligence, but what trully amazed me beyond belief was that most women loved it, and the books have gotten praise and have made enough money that Stephenie could live off of for the rest of her life. It's a Romeo and Juliet tragedy. However much Matthew hates Minority Report, I hate Twilight and Stephenie 10 times more, I deeply, trully, hate her.

So what was the one good thing that Stephenie did? Well, I read to the middle of the first book in the series before quitting, and it amazes me that I got that far. But I couldn't help but wonder how the series would end. I intelligently presumed that the series would end with a crappy happy ending, because I didn't think Stephenie would do anything meaningful.(Notice that I said would, not could) So you could imagine my suprise when I found out how the series ended; With the fact that Edward and Bella where now both vampires and would probably never die. That's not a happy ending at all. Good job, Stephenie, good job.Spencerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03669266022229029181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-494160638739613756.post-22191087566398998072009-09-10T10:27:54.943-04:002009-09-10T10:27:54.943-04:00I love this movie, I do(must be the romantic in me...I love this movie, I do(must be the romantic in me) but I agree with some of your criticism. I dislike Bella(she´s so insipid and dry) and I was hoping to see more blood, more violence.
I agree that this is flawed, very actually but there is something here that attracts me.
Don´t know what.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
