Overall I think it's fantastic, but I have mixed feelings on the CGI. One hand, it allows for more freedom of "camera" movement which feeds into the spontaneity, but I think they could have done that with the old CAPS system and stuck almost entirely to hand-drawn animation. Those hand-drawn moments are the most alluring and spellbinding of Destino.

I'm surprised they weren't screening it at the museum, though. Or maybe they were; they had a screen going with various Dali clips, but I stood there for 9 minutes and it didn't come up so I don't know why it would be randomly dropped in the middle of Dali interviews.Jakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09078001374402400232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-494160638739613756.post-42517924758587303202011-01-11T11:41:59.305-05:002011-01-11T11:41:59.305-05:00I hadn't come across some of these works. I was wondering if you'd seen Dali's collaboration with Disney, posthumously released, entitled Destino (it's available on YouTube if you haven't).Stephenhttp://checkingonmysausages.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
