There's nothing erotic about this, only disgusting and sad."<br /><br />That actually sounds pretty hot. Of course, I like legs and vulvals, usually seperate though. Still, I think it's unique that the film used this, of all things, to describe it's tone.Rascalnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-494160638739613756.post-19014372700164958972010-06-29T14:57:21.732-04:002010-06-29T14:57:21.732-04:00I need to rewatch Eastern Promises. It's easily one of my favorites of Cronenberg's and I think it took a lot of the great ideas behind A History of Violence and smoothed out some of the wrinkles.Jakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09078001374402400232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-494160638739613756.post-18168807912298088292010-06-29T14:42:34.763-04:002010-06-29T14:42:34.763-04:00Crash doesn't represent the zenith of Cronenbe...Crash doesn't represent the zenith of Cronenberg as far as great films go, I believe his ultimate tome is Eastern Promises, but it does I believe represent his zenith when it comes to tackling the idea of sexuality and the various triggers that our sexuality has that we try and deny.<br /><br />Because of this I understand why so many didn't like Crash or couldn't stand it, but I also think a great majority of them are simply being short sighted and allowing their prudish nature to stop them from seeing the truths that Cronenberg seeks. Maybe I'm wrong, I often am, but all I know is that Crash spoke to me like the best Cronenberg works do and I'm happy for that.Bill Thompsonhttp://billsmovieemporium.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
